Sindh’s intake covers Karachi, Hyderabad, Pano Aqil and surrounding districts. GD soldiers from Sindh serve in infantry regiments with full career progression to Junior Commissioned Officer rank.
Special quotas exist for sons of martyrs and retired personnel, hafiz-e-Quran candidates and sportsmen.
Eligibility requirements
- Matric with 2nd division (Middle pass acceptable in specified rural quotas).
- Age 17½–23 years as per advertisement.
- Height 5′6″ (167.5 cm); chest 28–30″ with 1.5″ expansion.
- Sindh domicile; medically fit; unmarried.
- Clear initial test, physical, medical and interview at your centre.

How to apply - step by step
- Register online on the official Pakistan Army recruitment portal (joinpakarmy.gov.pk), or report to the nearest Army Selection & Recruitment Centre as advertised.
- Fill in personal, educational and domicile details carefully and choose your test centre.
- Deposit the prescribed test fee (if applicable) and keep the receipt safe.
- Download or collect your roll number slip with the test date and reporting time.
- On test day, bring original documents and reach the centre before the reporting time.
- Clear the initial test → physical → medical (→ ISSB for officer entries) to reach the final merit list.
Apply only on the official portal: registration happens at joinpakarmy.gov.pk. Never pay agents - Army selection itself is free apart from the advertised test fee.
Documents to bring on test day
- Original CNIC / B-Form (and a photocopy)
- Domicile certificate
- All educational certificates & marks sheets (original + copies)
- Father’s / guardian’s CNIC copy
- 6× passport-size photographs (blue background)
- Registration slip / roll number slip and fee receipt
- Experience or special certificates (hafiz-e-Quran, sports, NCC etc.)
