As a Soldier

Join the Pakistan Army as a soldier

GD, technical, military police, clerk, nursing assistant and trade entries - the backbone of the Army, with a clear ladder to JCO rank.

Soldier entries are the Army’s largest intake. You join a regiment, train at its centre, and serve in units across Pakistan - with salary from day one, family medical care and a pension after service.

Your action plan

  1. Match your district’s quota - provincial pages list relaxed standards for Balochistan, GB and AJK.
  2. Start the running programme today; the 1.6 km run decides most selections.
  3. Register when your district’s advertisement appears - quotas are announced on radio, press and the official portal.
  4. Prepare documents: matric certificate, domicile, CNIC/B-Form and photographs.
  5. Clear the initial test, then give the physical your everything - merit is drawn after medical.

The soldier’s ladder

From Sepoy you rise to Lance Naik, Naik, Havildar - and as a Junior Commissioned Officer (Naib Subedar, Subedar, Subedar Major) you command with a authority no civilian career matches at the same age.
