The Armed Forces Nursing Service (AFNS) trains female nurses at military nursing colleges across Pakistan. Cadets receive a full scholarship, hostel and monthly stipend throughout the BSc Nursing programme.
Graduates are commissioned into AFNS with service in CMHs, field hospitals and specialised units - with clear promotion pathways up to Brigadier rank.
Eligibility requirements
- Female Pakistani citizen (AJK & GB domicile holders eligible).
- FSc Pre-Medical with minimum 50% marks.
- Age 17–25 years on the commencement of training.
- Minimum height 5′0″ and medically fit in all respects.
- Unmarried at the time of induction (marriage policy applies during training).

How to apply - step by step
- Register online on the official Pakistan Army recruitment portal (joinpakarmy.gov.pk), or report to the nearest Army Selection & Recruitment Centre as advertised.
- Fill in personal, educational and domicile details carefully and choose your test centre.
- Deposit the prescribed test fee (if applicable) and keep the receipt safe.
- Download or collect your roll number slip with the test date and reporting time.
- On test day, bring original documents and reach the centre before the reporting time.
- Clear the initial test → physical → medical (→ ISSB for officer entries) to reach the final merit list.
Apply only on the official portal: registration happens at joinpakarmy.gov.pk. Never pay agents - Army selection itself is free apart from the advertised test fee.
Documents to bring on test day
- Original CNIC / B-Form (and a photocopy)
- Domicile certificate
- All educational certificates & marks sheets (original + copies)
- Father’s / guardian’s CNIC copy
- 6× passport-size photographs (blue background)
- Registration slip / roll number slip and fee receipt
- Experience or special certificates (hafiz-e-Quran, sports, NCC etc.)
