About this entry
Through the Lady Cadet Course, female graduates earn a Direct Short Service Commission after training alongside a dedicated women’s training battalion. Branches include Engineers, Signals, Army Education, IT, Intelligence, Psychology and Ordnance.
Lady officers serve across Pakistan in operational, technical and instructional roles - with the same pay scale, medical care and career pathways as their male counterparts.
Eligibility requirements
- Female Pakistani citizen, unmarried / widowed without children.
- 16 years of education (BS / MA / MSc) in a relevant subject with 2nd division.
- Age 19–29 years depending on branch.
- Minimum height 5′0″ (152.4 cm) and medically fit.
- Branch-specific requirements apply (e.g. Engineering needs a BE degree, Law needs LLB).

How to apply - step by step
- Register online on the official Pakistan Army recruitment portal (joinpakarmy.gov.pk), or report to the nearest Army Selection & Recruitment Centre as advertised.
- Fill in personal, educational and domicile details carefully and choose your test centre.
- Deposit the prescribed test fee (if applicable) and keep the receipt safe.
- Download or collect your roll number slip with the test date and reporting time.
- On test day, bring original documents and reach the centre before the reporting time.
- Clear the initial test → physical → medical (→ ISSB for officer entries) to reach the final merit list.
Apply only on the official portal: registration happens at joinpakarmy.gov.pk. Never pay agents - Army selection itself is free apart from the advertised test fee.
Documents to bring on test day
- Original CNIC / B-Form (and a photocopy)
- Domicile certificate
- All educational certificates & marks sheets (original + copies)
- Father’s / guardian’s CNIC copy
- 6× passport-size photographs (blue background)
- Registration slip / roll number slip and fee receipt
- Experience or special certificates (hafiz-e-Quran, sports, NCC etc.)
