About this entry
The Technical Cadet Course sends selected cadets to the College of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering and Military College of Signals (NUST) for a full engineering degree - tuition, hostel and stipend all borne by the Army.
On graduation, TCC officers serve in the Corps of Engineers, Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (EME) and Signals - maintaining tanks, radars, missiles and battlefield communications.
Eligibility requirements
- FSc Pre-Engineering (Maths, Physics, Chemistry/Computer Science) with minimum 65% marks.
- Age 16½–22 years; male, unmarried, Pakistani citizen.
- Minimum height 5′4″ with sound medical health.
- Strong mathematics and physics fundamentals - the initial test is engineering-weighted.
- Willingness to complete a 4-year engineering degree followed by military training.

How to apply - step by step
- Register online on the official Pakistan Army recruitment portal (joinpakarmy.gov.pk), or report to the nearest Army Selection & Recruitment Centre as advertised.
- Fill in personal, educational and domicile details carefully and choose your test centre.
- Deposit the prescribed test fee (if applicable) and keep the receipt safe.
- Download or collect your roll number slip with the test date and reporting time.
- On test day, bring original documents and reach the centre before the reporting time.
- Clear the initial test → physical → medical (→ ISSB for officer entries) to reach the final merit list.
Apply only on the official portal: registration happens at joinpakarmy.gov.pk. Never pay agents - Army selection itself is free apart from the advertised test fee.
Documents to bring on test day
- Original CNIC / B-Form (and a photocopy)
- Domicile certificate
- All educational certificates & marks sheets (original + copies)
- Father’s / guardian’s CNIC copy
- 6× passport-size photographs (blue background)
- Registration slip / roll number slip and fee receipt
- Experience or special certificates (hafiz-e-Quran, sports, NCC etc.)
