Female entries - three questions, three answers

Can married women apply? The Lady Cadet Course has admitted married candidates in recent advertisements, and AFNS terms have allowed married nurses - but the current notice is the final word, so read its conditions line by line before registering. What are the physical standards for females? Female candidates run a modified test - shorter run distance and revised push-up and sit-up standards; the physical guide and medical guide carry the notes that matter. Which branches open for the LCC? The list changes every advertisement - recent cycles have included Engineering, Signals, IT, Psychology, Education and JAG - and the Lady Cadet Course page tracks the latest one. Whatever the branch, the ISSB stage is identical to male candidates, so its preparation starts the same way.

AFNS or LCC: picking the door that fits

Most families ask the same question at the dining table: nursing or commission? Both are commissioned careers; the difference is the road and the starting age.

AFNS starts youngest and asks the least paper, so its competition is the heaviest. The LCC rewards a finished degree with the widest branch list of any female entry: recent cycles have carried IT, psychology, engineering and education seats. The medical cadet road takes longest but ends in a white coat. Whichever you choose, the paperwork is identical: your own CNIC, your father's CNIC, domicile, degrees and attested photographs ready before registration opens, because document day forgives nothing.

Preparation that starts months before the advertisement

Female selection runs the same pipeline with modified physical standards, so the training calendar is yours to own. Build the run and the core months ahead, not weeks. Practise timed English and mathematics for the initial test; the paper does not bend for anyone. Talk to your family early about hostel life and travel, because board call letters come at short notice and four days in another city needs arrangements made calmly in advance. Candidates from small districts clear this every year. The ones who planned it that way.
