About this entry
The Pakistan Air Force announced the 2021 GD Pilot course on 8 March 2021. Intermediate candidates applied online before the closing date of 19 April 2021, choosing test centres nationwide.
Selection included an initial intelligence and academic test, physical efficiency assessment, detailed medical (including eyesight standards) and interviews, with ISSB and CMB for shortlisted candidates. Successful cadets joined PAF Academy Risalpur for flying training.
This course cycle has concluded. GD Pilot entries are announced periodically - the standards below reflect the 2021 requirements for the next application window.
Eligibility requirements
- Male citizen of Pakistan (AJK and GB included), unmarried.
- FSc Pre-Engineering or ICS with at least 60% marks.
- Age 16.5 to 22 years on the commencement date.
- Meet strict PAF medical and eyesight standards.
- Registration closed on 19 April 2021.

How to apply - step by step
- Register online on the official Pakistan Army recruitment portal (joinpakarmy.gov.pk), or report to the nearest Army Selection & Recruitment Centre as advertised.
- Fill in personal, educational and domicile details carefully and choose your test centre.
- Deposit the prescribed test fee (if applicable) and keep the receipt safe.
- Download or collect your roll number slip with the test date and reporting time.
- On test day, bring original documents and reach the centre before the reporting time.
- Clear the initial test → physical → medical (→ ISSB for officer entries) to reach the final merit list.
Apply only through the official channel: use the department's own portal or the prescribed application method mentioned in the advertisement. Beware of agents and unofficial fee collectors.

- Original CNIC / B-Form (and a photocopy)
- Domicile certificate
- All educational certificates & marks sheets (original + copies)
- Father’s / guardian’s CNIC copy
- 6× passport-size photographs (blue background)
- Registration slip / roll number slip and fee receipt
- Experience or special certificates (hafiz-e-Quran, sports, NCC etc.)
