Religious Teachers (Mualim) are inducted into the Army’s religious cadre. They lead namaz, deliver khutbas, teach Nazira Quran and support commanders in moral training of troops.
Candidates with a recognised Sanad and Matric education are tested at Selection Centres and commissioned into the religious teacher cadre.
Eligibility requirements
- Sanad-e-Dars-e-Nizami (Shahadat-ul-Alamia) from a recognised board/wifaq.
- Matric pass; age 20-28 years.
- Height 5′3″ (160 cm); medically fit.
- Hafiz-e-Quran and Qirat skills carry extra marks.
- Clear initial test, physical, medical and interview.

How to apply - step by step
- Register online on the official Pakistan Army recruitment portal (joinpakarmy.gov.pk), or report to the nearest Army Selection & Recruitment Centre as advertised.
- Fill in personal, educational and domicile details carefully and choose your test centre.
- Deposit the prescribed test fee (if applicable) and keep the receipt safe.
- Download or collect your roll number slip with the test date and reporting time.
- On test day, bring original documents and reach the centre before the reporting time.
- Clear the initial test → physical → medical (→ ISSB for officer entries) to reach the final merit list.
Apply only on the official portal: registration happens at joinpakarmy.gov.pk. Never pay agents - Army selection itself is free apart from the advertised test fee.
Documents to bring on test day
- Original CNIC / B-Form (and a photocopy)
- Domicile certificate
- All educational certificates & marks sheets (original + copies)
- Father’s / guardian’s CNIC copy
- 6× passport-size photographs (blue background)
- Registration slip / roll number slip and fee receipt
- Experience or special certificates (hafiz-e-Quran, sports, NCC etc.)
