About this entry

ICT Police advertised 300 Constable (BPS-07) vacancies for the federal capital in February 2020, the last full recruitment cycle before pandemic disruptions reshaped the testing calendar. Candidates submitted applications between 10 February 2020 and 2 March 2020, with male and female seats announced against open merit and the federal quota pattern.

The selection chain followed the standard ICT Police sequence: a written screening test covering English, Urdu, Islamiat and general knowledge, followed by physical measurement, a running and push-up assessment, detailed medical examination and a final interview. Pandemic-related delays pushed the written test and physical rounds into the later months of 2020, with final merit lists notified once testing resumed in phases.

Successful recruits completed initial training at the ICT Police training facilities in Islamabad before deployment across the Operations Division, Traffic Division and the then-raising Dolphin Force units. This intake has long since concluded; the standards below reflect the 2020 advertisement and remain a useful benchmark for the next announcement.

Quota note: Federal quota distribution (provincial, women, minority and special-person seats) applied as per the official advertisement.
