About this entry
The 2021 Technical Cadet Course (TCC 34) registration opened on 18 January 2021. Pre-engineering and ICS students applied through the Army portal or Selection Centres before the last date of 1 March 2021.
Candidates cleared an initial academic test focused on mathematics and physics concepts, then medical and interview stages, with ISSB for shortlisted cadets. Selected cadets completed engineering degrees at NUST-run Army colleges and were commissioned into technical arms including Engineers, Signals and EME.
This cycle has concluded. TCC remains the premier engineering route into the Army - the pattern below stays consistent year to year and is valuable preparation for the next course.
Eligibility requirements
- Male citizen of Pakistan (AJK and GB included), unmarried.
- FSc Pre-Engineering or ICS with minimum 65% marks.
- Age 16.5 to 22 years on the commencement date of the course.
- Minimum height 5 ft 4 in (162.5 cm); medically fit.
- Registration closed on 1 March 2021.

How to apply - step by step
- Register online on the official Pakistan Army recruitment portal (joinpakarmy.gov.pk), or report to the nearest Army Selection & Recruitment Centre as advertised.
- Fill in personal, educational and domicile details carefully and choose your test centre.
- Deposit the prescribed test fee (if applicable) and keep the receipt safe.
- Download or collect your roll number slip with the test date and reporting time.
- On test day, bring original documents and reach the centre before the reporting time.
- Clear the initial test → physical → medical (→ ISSB for officer entries) to reach the final merit list.
Apply only on the official portal: registration happens at joinpakarmy.gov.pk. Never pay agents - Army selection itself is free apart from the advertised test fee.
Documents to bring on test day
- Original CNIC / B-Form (and a photocopy)
- Domicile certificate
- All educational certificates & marks sheets (original + copies)
- Father’s / guardian’s CNIC copy
- 6× passport-size photographs (blue background)
- Registration slip / roll number slip and fee receipt
- Experience or special certificates (hafiz-e-Quran, sports, NCC etc.)
