About this entry
The March 2025 drive paired a general constable intake of around 520 posts with roughly 80 Assistant Sub-Inspector (BPS-09) vacancies in a single combined advertisement, allowing candidates to indicate a preference order. Registration ran from 10 March 2025 until 31 March 2025, with the federal quota pattern governing seat distribution for both cadres.
ASI applicants sat an advanced written paper covering English composition, analytical reasoning, law-and-policing basics and general knowledge, while constable candidates took the standard screening test. Both streams then proceeded through physical measurement and efficiency trials, medical boards, and interviews. Psychological assessment was introduced for the ASI stream as a pilot.
Selected constables joined station-level and Dolphin Force duties after training; ASIs were allocated to investigations, operations and police-station supervision roles with an attachment period under senior officers. The cycle has concluded; the standards below reflect the 2025 advertisement.
Quota note: Federal quota distribution (provincial, women, minority and special-person seats) applied as per the official advertisement.
