About this entry
In October 2024 ICT Police advertised about 150 technical-support posts, the bulk of them Driver Constable (BPS-07) with the remainder Wireless Operator (BPS-07) for the communication wing. The announcement window ran from 14 October 2024 to 4 November 2024, and unlike general constable drives this cycle was open to male candidates only as notified.
Driver Constable candidates were screened on matriculation, a valid LTV or HTV licence with the required standing, and then put through a practical driving assessment covering the obstacle track, hill hold, reversing and road-sign questions alongside the standard physical measurement. Wireless Operator applicants faced a written paper weighted toward basic electronics, radio fundamentals and English, followed by a typing and equipment-handling trial.
Appointees were posted to the transport pool, Dolphin Force mobility wings, and the communication section supporting the Safe City and Pucar-15 infrastructure. Training included a police foundation module before technical duties began. The drive is closed; the criteria below reflect the 2024 advertisement.
Quota note: Federal quota distribution (provincial, women, minority and special-person seats) applied as per the official advertisement.
