In June 2023 ICT Police opened the largest constable recruitment of the decade, advertising more than 900 posts to staff the expanding Dolphin Force, the Safe City operations room and routine station-level policing. Applications flowed in from 12 June 2023 to 3 July 2023, with the federal quota pattern reserving seats for women, minorities and special persons alongside open merit.
The written screening test was conducted in multiple sittings at designated centres in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Candidates who passed moved to physical measurement and efficiency trials, followed by a detailed medical examination and interview rounds. Merit lists were published in batches, and appointment letters were issued progressively as training slots opened.
Recruits from this drive completed their initial training in waves and were posted across the Operations Division, Traffic Division, Dolphin Force and Special Branch. Eligibility requirements
- Pakistani citizen with valid CNIC and domicile as notified.
- Matriculation with at least 2nd division from a recognized board.
- Age 18 to 25 years as per the advertisement.
- Height: male 5'7", female 5'3"; chest (male) 33" with 1.5" expansion.
- Physical efficiency: running, push-ups and sit-ups per notified standards.

How to apply - step by step
- Register online on the official Pakistan Army recruitment portal (joinpakarmy.gov.pk), or report to the nearest Army Selection & Recruitment Centre as advertised.
- Fill in personal, educational and domicile details carefully and choose your test centre.
- Deposit the prescribed test fee (if applicable) and keep the receipt safe.
- Download or collect your roll number slip with the test date and reporting time.
- On test day, bring original documents and reach the centre before the reporting time.
- Clear the initial test → physical → medical (→ ISSB for officer entries) to reach the final merit list.
