The Pakistan Army announced PMA Long Course 151 with registration opening on 2 December 2024. Candidates applied through the official Army recruitment portal or by reporting to the nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centre before the closing date of 13 January 2025.
Applicants appeared in an initial written and intelligence test at their chosen centre, followed by the physical efficiency test, a detailed medical examination and a preliminary interview. Shortlisted candidates attended the four-day ISSB board, and candidates on the final merit list joined the academy for the April 2025 intake.
PMA Long Course remains the flagship regular commission route of the Pakistan Army. This intake has concluded - aspirants preparing for the next course can study the eligibility pattern below, which has stayed broadly consistent across recent cycles.
Eligibility requirements
- Citizen of Pakistan (AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan domicile holders included); male and unmarried.
- Intermediate or equivalent qualification with at least 2nd division (55% marks or above).
- Age 16.5 to 22 years on the commencement date of the course.
- Minimum height 5 ft 4 in (162.5 cm) with weight proportionate to age.
- Medically fit in all respects; no pending court case and no unwaived ISSB rejection.
- Registration closed on 13 January 2025.

How to apply - step by step
- Register online on the official Pakistan Army recruitment portal (joinpakarmy.gov.pk), or report to the nearest Army Selection & Recruitment Centre as advertised.
- Fill in personal, educational and domicile details carefully and choose your test centre.
- Deposit the prescribed test fee (if applicable) and keep the receipt safe.
- Download or collect your roll number slip with the test date and reporting time.
- On test day, bring original documents and reach the centre before the reporting time.
- Clear the initial test → physical → medical (→ ISSB for officer entries) to reach the final merit list.
Apply only on the official portal: registration happens at joinpakarmy.gov.pk. Never pay agents - Army selection itself is free apart from the advertised test fee.

- Domicile certificate
- All educational certificates & marks sheets (original + copies)

- 6× passport-size photographs (blue background)
